Great Pyramid of Giza

The pyramids of Giza are one of the most famous monuments in the world. Like all pyramids, each one is part of a major complex that includes a temple, a ramp, a funerary temple and the smaller pyramids of queens, all surrounded by tombs (mastaba) of the priests and people in government, a real city for dead.

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is a well-preserved pre-Columbian city , located atop a mountain at 2400 meters altitude in the valley of the Urubamba River, Peru.

It was built in the fifteenth century under the orders of Pachacuti. The site is probably the most typical symbol of the Inca Empire, either due to its unique location and geological characteristics, either due to its late discovery in 1911.

Only about 30% of the city's original construction, the remainder was rebuilt.

The reconstructed areas are easily recognized by the fit between the stones. The original building is made up of larger stones, and fittings with little space between the rocks.
